...a moment in the life

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND DANTE: INFERNO
WAS EXTENDED THROUGH NOVEMBER 9TH!

"Dante: Inferno is one of the best plays I have reviewed in a LONG time.... [it] rises like a mighty Phoenix from the ashes of an imaginary hell into the heavens of theatrical greatness...A number of local theater companies rely on performing spaces too large for the story being told, unnecessary props, campy and predictable sound effects, and utilize popular talent icons to sell their story. MBS raises the bar HIGH and proves the only thing needed is a directing vision and committed artists dedicated to telling a story with high production standards."

"magical...The ensemble was so strong that it was difficult to pick out one from another, but each alone and in groups created visions of tormented souls suffering their own special horrors to atone for their own special sins...Using only nine actors, this play looked to be a mass of humanity...Dante: Inferno was a visually absorbing experience that engaged every fiber of one’s being...the event was a whole body experience"

"A triumph in theatrical imagination."
-Arnold Wayne Jones, Dallas Voice

"A unique creative vision...mesmerizes...
Dante and Mark-Brian Sonna, I wished a time machine existed to unite them as collaborators..." -Alexandra Bonifield, DFWTheatrescene.com

"There is something of the sorcerer in Mark-Brian Sonna, how he can take simple acoutrements like heavy drapes of fabric, white masks, rakes and transform them into the stuff of hallucination and epiphany."
-Christopher Soden, EdgeDallas

"Sonna's eight member cast does skillful job of portraying the dozens of different characters encountered in the nine swirling circles of Hell...enjoy the hellacious landscape before you, one that relies less on props, costumes or scenery and more on the text and raw emotion."
-Chad Jones, PegasusNews.com

Dante is given a tour through the different circles of hell.  As he descends further into the underworld it he finds himself slowly descending into madness and that the souls and demons he encounters aren’t going to allow him to escape.  This ground breaking theatrical production of Dante’s Poem is done in modern English making it accessible and understandable to modern audiences.  Original premiere in 2008.

Mark-Brian Sonna who was nominated for The Column Award for Best Featured Actor for his role as Satan will be reprising the role as is original cast member Ivan Jones.
